High quality
SSAB Tunnplåt, our parent company, is one of the world's leading producers of high strength steels. These steels are distinguished by very consistent and well-defined mechanical properties. The core material for Dobel is produced in the same process as the high strength steels and automatically acquires very consistent properties. Dobel therefore always has consistently good formability.

Double protection against corrosion
The core material of Dobel is zinc-coated sheet steel, which doubles the protection against corrosion. The zinc coating provides an effective barrier against oxygen and moisture, and it also gives cathodic protection at cut edges and any damage to the coating. The film is bonded at high temperature to the top surface of the sheet steel. The underside of the sheet is coated with a protective varnish, to which foam or adhesive can be applied.

We can also offer aluminium as the core material.

Methods of working
Dobel can be worked using the methods normally employed in industry for cutting, bending, pressing or punching. But welding is not advisable.

The choice is available between several joining methods:

• mechanical joints
• bonded joints
• combined joints – a combination of bonding and mechanical joining
